Two people are injured in an accident Sunday morning on Back Beach Road.
According to Florida Highway Patrol a pickup truck driven by 48 year-old Catherine Kelly of Panama City Beach and a dump truck collided after a car turned into their path near Grace Episcopal Church. Both the dump truck and pick-up were traveling east. The pickup truck veered to avoid hitting the first car, driven by 77 year-old Robert Chambers, and instead hit the dump truck traveling in the left lane. The dump truck overturned on top of the pickup, leaving quite a mess in the road.
Both Bay County Fire and FHP assisted at the crash site. The two injured drivers were transported to Bay Medical. Charges are pending at this point in the investigation.
