Bay County Sheriff Frank McKeithen announced today that Morris Schiffman has been located in Birmingham, Alabama.

Schiffman, 79 years of age, had been missing since December 18, 2009, when he was last seen by local family members at a bank on Panama City Beach.

Information on Schiffman’s disappearance and a picture of him was released to media Wednesday, December 23, 2009. A tip received by a television news viewer alerted investigators that Schiffman was in Alabama.

He is currently in the care of the Birmingham Police Department, who has contacted family Schiffman has in the Birmingham area.
