The Bay Area Drug Gang Enforcement Squad made an arrest today, January 6, 2010, during an undercover operation in the Callaway area.
Richard McPeek was arrested this morning after he sold methamphetamine to an undercover operative in the parking lot of a business in Callaway. McPeek was charged with Sale of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Manufacture of Methamphetamine, and Arson. The Arson charge stems from an incident in July of 2008 in which McPeek is believed to have been making methamphetamine using the single container or “Shake and Bake” method when the container exploded, causing a fire in the home and severely burning McPeek. Investigators found McPeek shortly after the incident at a local hospital where he was later flown to a burn center in Georgia.
McPeek has been taken to the Bay County Jail where he will be booked.
