As the senate advances health care legislation, the pulse of the people works to find a rhythm.

“I couldn’t say one way or the other good or bad. It really depends on what they come up with,” said Bay County resident, Chris Byrd.

Conversation in our community ranges from complete support to total opposition.

“Coming from England, where you have National Health Service, I think it’s a good idea,” said resident, Jacyln Woodgate.

“I think it’s messed up, I think that we need to reform it a lot more,” said Craig Bare.

The truth is, no one is certain how much reform could cost or if it’ll work. The senate doesn’t take up the debate until next week and then it must go to a conference committee.

“I think if it happens, we’re all going to be in trouble,” said insurance salesman, Mike Tindell.

Mike Tindell is sure of two things: first, he believes it’ll cost you more money and secondly he thinks it’ll put him out of business.

“I think if it happens, we’re all going to be in trouble,” said Tindell.

As a salesman, Tindell typically gets around 15 health insurance calls a week but he says because of citizen uncertainty, lately it’s been slim to none.

“People are waiting to see what this healthcare plans going to do and whether or not we’re going to get this healthcare option passed,” said Tindell.

Senators now go home for the Thanksgiving recess, and then return on November 30th to get the debate going. Political observers say the debate could last until Christmas and possibly longer.

if they could set down and do a Health care bill with out all the pork and government control, than I mike would be more open to it. But I feel they are trying to force this on the people with out thinking what the out come will be for all of American’s and this country. More tax’s is not going to help any one, even if they have Health care.
