Jessica Chapin is excited to bring you the news here in Panama City. She was born and raised just outside the nation’s capital in northern Virginia, and recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a major of Broadcast Journalism and minor in International Relations. Some of her favorite experiences at the university included reporting for VCU InSight, studying abroad in Italy, and traveling to Shanghai, China for a journalism class.
Jessica worked at CBS6 in Richmond, Virginia as a production assistant during her senior year of college, and interned for a summer at FOX5 in Washington, D.C. Though she loves reporting, she also enjoys working behind the camera, and has won multiple Virginia Associated Press Broadcaster awards for videography as well as reporting.
Jessica’s interest in writing and reporting began in elementary school when her grandfather gave her a book full of blank pages and told her to fill them. Since then she has had only passion and enthusiasm for telling stories. If you have any story ideas or suggestions, feel free to email her at: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
